The core partner workflow inside a client workspace.

Review a Client: Score, Comment & Publish

The client review workspace is where you do your core advisory work each period โ€” review the client's submitted data, compute or adjust their health scores, edit diagnostic flags, write your advisory commentary, and publish it so the client can see it. This guide walks through the workflow from opening a client to publishing a period. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners assigned to a client. Open a client from your partner client list. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Review submitted data and compute scores | | 2 | Write commentary and publish the period | Step 1 โ€” Review the data and compute scores From your client list, click a client whose period is "Submitted" to open their review workspace. At the top you'll see a summary of their submitted data โ€” revenue, margin, headcount, engagement, and the operational metrics they entered. Use View Full Data to see every metric they submitted. The partner review workspace showing submitted data and health scores Below the data are the Health Scores. For FORTIS-framework clients, click Compute Scores to calculate each pillar's score and the composite from the submitted metrics. You can then override any individual pillar score if your judgment differs from the formula โ€” enter a new score (0โ€“100) and an optional reason. You'll also see the diagnostic flags the system raised (metrics outside healthy ranges). Edit each flag to add your advisory commentary and set its status (Active, Acknowledged, or Dismissed). ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Custom frameworks use manual entry If the client is on a custom (non-FORTIS) framework, you won't see Compute Scores โ€” instead you enter each pillar's score by hand in a manual score entry section. Step 2 โ€” Write commentary and publish Scroll to the Advisory Commentary section. Here you write the narrative the client will see: an executive summary headline and analysis, a trajectory, a risk assessment, the top achievement and concern, a priority recommendation, and notes on each pillar. The advisory commentary and publish section Use Save Advisory Draft as you work. Each text field also has an AI Compose / AI Enhance button if you want Pulse AI to draft or polish it for you (this doesn't cost the client tokens). When the scores are set and the commentary is ready, click Publish Period. This makes the scores, flags, and advisory visible to the client and notifies them. Until you publish, the client on a paid plan cannot see the advisory โ€” so publishing is what delivers your work. โš ๏ธ Warning โ€” Publishing notifies the client Publishing sends the client a notification that their advisory is ready. If you're not finished, keep it unpublished and use Save Draft. You can Unpublish later if you need to pull a period back for edits.

Review the Client's Submitted Data

Before scoring, review what the client submitted for the period. This guide covers reading the submitted data in the review workspace. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Read the data summary and open the full data view | Step 1 โ€” Review submitted data In a client's review workspace, the Submitted Data section shows summary cards (revenue, margin, headcount, engagement, targets met, on-time, acquisition, churn). Use View Full Data to open a modal with every submitted financial, people, and operational metric, plus their rocks and initiatives. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Review before scoring Read the data before computing scores or writing commentary โ€” it grounds your analysis in what the client actually reported. The full-data modal is your source of truth for the period's inputs. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Watch for gaps If the client left optional fields blank (retention metrics, initiative completion), their corresponding pillars will be partial. Note these gaps so your commentary can address the incomplete picture.

Compute Health Scores

For FORTIS-framework clients, you compute pillar scores from their submitted data with one click. This guide covers computing scores. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a FORTIS-framework client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Click Compute Scores | Step 1 โ€” Compute scores In the review workspace's Health Scores section, click Compute Scores. Fortis Pulse calculates each pillar's score (0โ€“100) and the composite from the client's submitted metrics, using the framework's weights and benchmarks. The computed scores appear as cards with coverage badges (Full, Partial, or No data). You can then override any individual pillar if your judgment differs. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Compute runs the formula Compute Scores applies the standard scoring formula to whatever data was submitted. If data is partial, the affected pillars show partial coverage. You're free to override afterward. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Compute first, then adjust Always compute first to get the formula's baseline, then override specific pillars where your advisory insight differs. This gives you a defensible starting point and a clear record of where and why you deviated.

Override a Pillar Score

Fortis Pulse computes pillar scores from the client's submitted metrics using a formula โ€” but your judgment as an advisor may differ. You can override any pillar's computed score with your own, along with a reason. This guide shows you how. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace (FORTIS-framework clients). Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Override a pillar score with your judgment | Step 1 โ€” Override a score In a client's review workspace, after computing scores, the Health Scores section shows each pillar with its computed value. To override one: 1. Pick the pillar you want to adjust. 2. Enter your new score (0โ€“100). 3. Optionally add a reason explaining why you're overriding the formula. 4. Save the override. The pillar's displayed score updates to your value, and the composite score recalculates using the overridden value. The override and your reason are recorded in the edit history for transparency. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Overrides are logged Every override is captured in the workspace's edit history with the actor and timestamp, so there's a clear audit trail of where scores came from โ€” computed or overridden. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Use overrides sparingly and explain them Overrides are powerful but should reflect genuine advisory insight, not just a preference for a higher number. Always include a reason โ€” it helps the client (and your colleagues) understand why the displayed score differs from what the raw data would suggest.

Enter Scores Manually (Custom Frameworks)

For clients on custom (non-FORTIS) frameworks, there's no formula-based Compute button โ€” you enter each pillar's score by hand. This guide covers manual score entry. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners reviewing a client on a custom framework. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Enter each pillar's score manually | Step 1 โ€” Enter manual scores In the review workspace, a Manual Score Entry section appears (instead of Compute Scores) for custom-framework clients. Enter a score (0โ€“100) for each pillar in the framework, based on your review of the submitted data and your advisory judgment. Save the manual scores when complete. They feed the composite and the client's dashboard once you publish. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Custom frameworks rely on your judgment With no built-in formula, the scores are entirely your assessment. Use the submitted data and benchmarks as your guide, and be consistent period to period so scores stay comparable. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Document your reasoning Since manual scores are subjective, keep notes (in your advisory log) on why you scored each pillar as you did. This helps the next period's scoring stay consistent and explains the numbers to anyone reviewing.

Edit Diagnostic Flags & Add Commentary

When a client submits data, Fortis Pulse raises diagnostic flags for metrics that fall outside healthy ranges. As a partner, you review these flags, add your advisory commentary, and set each one's status before publishing. This guide covers editing flags in the review workspace. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Review each flag, add commentary, set status | Step 1 โ€” Edit flags In a client's review workspace, the Diagnostic Flags section lists every flag the system raised for the period โ€” the metric, severity (amber or red), the actual value versus target, and the owning pillar. For each flag, you can: - Add advisory commentary โ€” a written explanation of what the flag means and what you recommend. This is what the client will read. - Set the status โ€” Active (still relevant), Acknowledged (seen and accepted), or Dismissed (intentionally set aside). Use the AI Compose / AI Enhance button on the commentary field if you want Pulse AI to draft or polish your text (this is a platform service and doesn't cost the client tokens). ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Flag commentary is published to the client Whatever you write in a flag's commentary is visible to the client once you publish the period. Keep it clear, actionable, and professional. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Dismiss flags deliberately If a flag reflects a known, accepted situation (for example, a deliberate seasonal dip), set it to Dismissed rather than leaving it Active โ€” that signals to the client that you've reviewed it and it's not a concern.

Write Advisory Commentary

The advisory commentary is the narrative the client sees โ€” your written analysis of the period. This guide covers writing it in the review workspace. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Fill in the commentary fields and save | Step 1 โ€” Write commentary In the Advisory Commentary section, fill in: - Executive Summary Headline and Analysis Summary. - Trajectory โ€” improving, stable, or declining. - Risk Assessment โ€” low, medium, high, or critical. - Top Achievement and Top Concern. - Priority Recommendation โ€” the single most important next step. - Benchmark Comparison (Executive tier clients). - Per-pillar notes โ€” one textarea per pillar. Use Save Advisory Draft as you work. Each field has an AI Compose / AI Enhance button (a free platform service) to draft or polish text. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Commentary is what the client reads This is your direct communication to the client. Keep it clear, actionable, and grounded in the data. Use AI to draft, but always review and shape it to your voice. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Address the flags in your commentary The diagnostic flags tell the client what's off; your commentary should explain why and what to do. Reference the key flags in your summary and pillar notes so the client gets the full picture.

Use AI Compose / AI Enhance

Writing advisory commentary and logs from scratch takes time. Pulse AI can draft or polish your advisory text for you โ€” the AI Compose and AI Enhance buttons appear on text fields throughout your review workspace and advisory log. This guide explains how to use them. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners and admins, on advisory text fields. Quick reference | Button | What it does | |--------|--------------| | AI Compose | Drafts text from the client's data | | AI Enhance | Polishes text you've already written | The two buttons AI Compose โ€” generates a first draft of a field based on the client's submitted data and context. Use it when you're starting from a blank field and want a foundation to work from. Review and edit the result before saving. AI Enhance โ€” takes text you've already written and improves its clarity, tone, or completeness. Use it when you have a rough draft and want it tightened up. You'll find these buttons on advisory commentary fields (executive summary, pillar notes, and so on) and on advisory log fields (summary, strengths, risks, opportunities). ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” It doesn't cost the client tokens AI Compose and Enhance are platform services for partners โ€” they don't draw from the client's token balance. You can use them freely without worrying about the client's quota. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Always review AI output The AI draft is a starting point, not a final word. Read it, adjust it to match your voice and your specific knowledge of the client, and make sure every claim is accurate before you save or publish. You're the advisor โ€” the AI just helps you write faster.

Re-run Pulse AI on a Client

If you want a fresh AI advisory draft (for example, after the client resubmits or you correct data), you can re-run the Pulse AI advisor from the review workspace. This guide covers re-running it. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Click Re-run Pulse AI and wait for completion | Step 1 โ€” Re-run Pulse AI In the review workspace's advisory section, click Re-run Pulse AI. This discards the existing AI draft and regenerates the scores, flags, and advisory commentary from the current submitted data. The run's status is polled โ€” you'll see it move from pending to running to completed (or failed). Once complete, the fresh draft replaces the old one for you to review and publish. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Re-run is disabled once you take ownership Once a human partner has edited and taken ownership of the advisory, the Re-run button is disabled to prevent overwriting your work. Re-run is for regenerating an AI draft you haven't yet shaped. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Re-run after data corrections If the client corrected their submission or you noticed the data was incomplete on the first run, re-running gives you an AI draft based on the corrected, complete data โ€” a better starting point.

Publish a Period (and What the Client Sees)

Publishing is the moment your work goes live for the client โ€” their scores, flags, and advisory commentary become visible, and they're notified. This guide covers how to publish and what happens when you do. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Publish when scores and commentary are ready | Step 1 โ€” Publish the period In a client's review workspace, once you've set the scores, edited the flags, and written (and saved) the advisory commentary, the period is ready to publish. Scroll to the Publish section and click Publish Period. Publishing requires that scores have been computed (or manually entered) and the advisory commentary has been saved. If either is missing, the publish will tell you what's needed. What happens when you publish: - The period's status moves to "Published." - The client can now see the scores, flags, and advisory commentary on their dashboard. - The client receives a notification that their advisory is ready. - The action is logged in the edit history. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Clients on paid plans only see advisory after publish On paid plans, the Pulse AI advisory draft goes to you as a draft โ€” the client can't see it until you publish. So publishing is what delivers your analysis. On Trial plans, the AI draft auto-publishes without you. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” You can unpublish if needed If you spot something wrong after publishing, use Unpublish to pull the period back to in-review status for edits. The client will lose visibility until you publish again, so use this for genuine corrections, not casual edits.

Unpublish a Period

If you spot an error after publishing a period, you can pull it back to in-review status for edits. This guide covers unpublishing. ๐Ÿ’ก Tip โ€” Who can use this For advisory partners, in a client's review workspace (after publishing). Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Click Unpublish to pull the period back | Step 1 โ€” Unpublish In the review workspace's publish section (after a period is published), click Unpublish. The period's status flips back to in-review: the client loses visibility of the scores and advisory until you publish again. โš ๏ธ Warning โ€” The client loses visibility Unpublishing hides the advisory from the client immediately. Use it only for genuine corrections, not casual edits. If you just want to tweak a detail, consider whether the change is important enough to interrupt what the client is already seeing. ๐Ÿ“ Note โ€” Republish when ready After editing, click Publish Period again to push the corrected version live. The client is notified again that their advisory is ready.
