Attach Files to Your Advisory Log
You can attach supporting files to your advisory log β spreadsheets, notes, screenshots, anything that backs up your analysis. Attachments are confidential within the advisory team. This guide covers adding them. π‘ Tip β Who can use this For advisory partners, in the My Log tab. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Upload attachments to your log | Step 1 β Attach files In your advisory log, use the attachments control to upload files (up to 10 MB each). Attachments are stored securely and downloadable via signed, time-limited links. You can also remove attachments you no longer need. π Note β Attachments are advisory-team-only Files attached to your log are visible within the advisory team (and appear in the lead's consolidated view), but the client cannot access them directly. If the client needs to see a file, share it through the Documents workspace instead. π‘ Tip β Attach evidence for your analysis Attaching the data or analysis behind a key observation makes your log more credible and useful. When a partner or admin reviews your log later, the attachments show your work.
Reviewing a Client (Scoring & Commentary) π€Review a Client: Score, Comment & Publish
The client review workspace is where you do your core advisory work each period β review the client's submitted data, compute or adjust their health scores, edit diagnostic flags, write your advisory commentary, and publish it so the client can see it. This guide walks through the workflow from opening a client to publishing a period. π‘ Tip β Who can use this For advisory partners assigned to a client. Open a client from your partner client list. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Review submitted data and compute scores | | 2 | Write commentary and publish the period | Step 1 β Review the data and compute scores From your client list, click a client whose period is "Submitted" to open their review workspace. At the top you'll see a summary of their submitted data β revenue, margin, headcount, engagement, and the operational metrics they entered. Use View Full Data to see every metric they submitted. The partner review workspace showing submitted data and health scores Below the data are the Health Scores. For FORTIS-framework clients, click Compute Scores to calculate each pillar's score and the composite from the submitted metrics. You can then override any individual pillar score if your judgment differs from the formula β enter a new score (0β100) and an optional reason. You'll also see the diagnostic flags the system raised (metrics outside healthy ranges). Edit each flag to add your advisory commentary and set its status (Active, Acknowledged, or Dismissed). π Note β Custom frameworks use manual entry If the client is on a custom (non-FORTIS) framework, you won't see Compute Scores β instead you enter each pillar's score by hand in a manual score entry section. Step 2 β Write commentary and publish Scroll to the Advisory Commentary section. Here you write the narrative the client will see: an executive summary headline and analysis, a trajectory, a risk assessment, the top achievement and concern, a priority recommendation, and notes on each pillar. The advisory commentary and publish section Use Save Advisory Draft as you work. Each text field also has an AI Compose / AI Enhance button if you want Pulse AI to draft or polish it for you (this doesn't cost the client tokens). When the scores are set and the commentary is ready, click Publish Period. This makes the scores, flags, and advisory visible to the client and notifies them. Until you publish, the client on a paid plan cannot see the advisory β so publishing is what delivers your work. β οΈ Warning β Publishing notifies the client Publishing sends the client a notification that their advisory is ready. If you're not finished, keep it unpublished and use Save Draft. You can Unpublish later if you need to pull a period back for edits.
Partner Sessions, Messages & Documents π€Schedule a Session With a Client
Sessions β strategy reviews, deep-dives, retreats, and ad-hoc meetings β are how you stay connected with each client. As a partner, you propose and manage sessions from within each client's workspace. This guide covers scheduling, completing, and cancelling them. π‘ Tip β Who can use this For advisory partners. Open a client workspace, then go to the Sessions tab. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Propose a new session and manage existing ones | Step 1 β Schedule and manage sessions From a client's review workspace, open the Sessions tab. You'll see a monthly compliance banner ("X/Y sessions completed this month") and a calendar view of scheduled sessions. The partner sessions tab with the calendar and session list Propose a New Session: choose the type (Strategy, Deep-Dive, Retreat, or Ad-Hoc), enter a title, date, time, duration, agenda, and the attending partners. The client is notified and can confirm or request a reschedule. Manage existing sessions: click any session to open its detail. From there you can: - Join Meeting via the personalized video link when it's time. - Mark Completed β opens a post-session log form (attendees, discussion points, decisions, follow-up date). - Cancel Session if it's no longer needed. π Note β Session compliance is tracked per tier Each tier has a required session cadence (for example, Executive clients expect more sessions per month than Access clients). The compliance banner shows how many sessions you've completed versus the requirement, so you can see if you're on track. π‘ Tip β Post-session logs are valuable Filling in the post-session log when you mark a session complete creates a record of what was discussed and decided β useful for the client and for your own advisory continuity. Don't skip it.
Partner Getting Started π€Accepting an Invitation to Advise a Company
When a company invites you as an advisory partner, you get an email with a personal invitation link. Accepting it adds that company to your partner workspace β one login, many clients β with full access to their Pulse data: every pillar, every period, from before you joined. π‘ Tip β Use the email the invitation was sent to The invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to. Sign in with that address β if you already have a Pulse partner account on it, the company simply appears alongside your other clients. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Open the invitation link from your email | | 2 | Sign in (or create your account) with that email | | 3 | Click Accept invitation | | 4 | Find the company in your Client List | Step 1: Open the invitation In your inbox, open the email "β¦invited you as an advisory partner" and click Accept invitation. The page that opens tells you who invited you, which company it is, exactly what you'll see ("all pillars, all history β and nothing else"), the email it was sent to, and how long the invitation is valid. The invitation page opened from the email link β οΈ Warning β Invitations expire after 7 days If the link has expired by the time you open it, ask the company to resend it. Nothing is lost β a resend takes seconds. Step 2: Sign in with that email Click Sign in or create your account. If you're new to Pulse, you'll set up your account right there β no separate signup needed. If you already have a partner account on that email, just sign in as usual. Already signed in but on a different account? The page will tell you, and you can switch. The invitation can only be accepted by the email it was sent to. Step 3: Accept the invitation If you were already signed in as a partner, you don't even need the email: a banner appears at the top of your partner home saying who invited you, with an Accept invitation button. Click it β the company is added instantly. You'll see: the banner disappears and the company appears in your Assigned Clients list, ready to review. Accepting from the banner on the partner home Step 4: Start advising The company now sits in your Client List like any other client β open it to review submissions, compute scores, and publish advisory analysis. You see its full history, including periods from before you were invited. The company appearing in the Client List after accepting π Note β What the company can see about you The company is told when you accept, and it can end your access to its data at any time. That only removes the company from your workspace β your account and anything you wrote for them stay with you.
The Advisory Log π€Write Your Advisory Log
Your advisory log is your private, per-period worklog for each client β a structured record of your observations, the strengths and risks you see, the decisions you recommend, and the action items you're assigning. It's confidential within the advisory team (the client doesn't see your log directly), and it feeds the consolidated view your lead partner uses to coordinate the team. This guide covers how to fill it in. π‘ Tip β Who can use this For advisory partners. Open a client workspace, then go to the My Log tab. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Fill in your advisory log for the period | Step 1 β Fill in your advisory log From a client's review workspace, open the My Log tab. You'll see a form for the selected period with several sections. The advisory log form with summary, observations, and action items Work through each section: - Domains Covered β pick the advisory domains your log addresses this period (these default to your assigned scope). - Advisory Summary β your overall narrative for the period. There's a word-count minimum, shown live as you type. - Strengths, Risks, and Opportunities β three columns for your structured observations. - Decisions Made / Recommended β the decisions you'd flag. - Action Items β split into Client Actions (owned by the client) and Advisory Team Actions (owned by partners). Each has a description, owner, due date, and status. - Client Engagement / Sentiment β a 1β5 rating of how engaged the client is. Each text field has an AI Compose / AI Enhance button if you want Pulse AI to draft or polish your writing. π Note β Save Draft vs Submit Use Save Draft to keep your work and come back. Submit Log locks the log for the period β after submitting it becomes read-only. Submit when your log is final; the lead partner's consolidated view pulls from submitted logs. π‘ Tip β You can attach files You can attach supporting files (spreadsheets, notes, screenshots) to your log. Attachments are stored securely and downloadable only within the advisory team β the client can't access them directly. If you need the client to see a file, share it through the Documents workspace instead.
Partner Sessions, Messages & Documents π€Complete or Cancel a Session
After a session happens (or if it won't), you mark it complete or cancel it from the sessions tab. This guide covers both. π‘ Tip β Who can use this For advisory partners, on a client's Sessions tab. Quick reference | Step | Action | |------|--------| | 1 | Mark Completed (with a post-session log) or Cancel | Step 1 β Complete or cancel Open a session's detail view. For non-completed, non-cancelled sessions, you can: - Mark Completed β opens a post-session log form where you record attendees, discussion points, decisions made, and a follow-up date. Saving completes the session and records the log for the client to read. - Cancel Session β cancels the session. The client is notified. π Note β Completing records the post-session log Marking a session complete prompts you for the post-session log. Fill it in β it becomes part of the client's session history and is valuable for continuity. Don't skip it. π‘ Tip β Cancel promptly if a session won't happen If a session needs to be called off, cancel it in Fortis Pulse rather than just not showing up. Cancelling notifies the client and keeps the compliance tracking accurate.
